fAt the start we hand drew every image using the last for reference then at the end the car went from hand drawing to a piece of paper for the car so it could drive off the paper.
we used overlapping action with the car and the buildings while it was moving. we used appeal with the portal to create a sense of wonder for when it gets spit out into nothing. I thought stop motion animation was very difficult due to all the different lighting factors and making sure the frames were aligned.

For the first cinema-graph its a perfect representation of me doing nothing in math again. I was watching the towel roll move with the vent for the heat and it was moving but none of us were so I took a video of it and now we are here.
The second cinema-graph is me adding up stuff on a calculator. I thought it would have looked a bit nicer but the camera was moving with the desk and I did not realize the little vibrations were in the video until editing. Finally the last one is a video of my friend jumping off of a bridge at a lake. I spent by far the most time on this one and its my favorite. This was summer of 2016 and was just a great reminder of how fun that summer was. This project was not that challenging to me as it was fairly straight forward. The most difficult part was on the last one it was filmed with a drone and it was moving a little with the wind. You can see this as the bridge moves a little at the top. In the end all three came out nice and I am happy with them
These houses are inhabited by the mini martians. They like wooden and tropical looking houses. I used the same wooden door on each because I couldn't find another one with the right shadows. For the windows the shadows are messed up because I also couldn't find one with the right shadows. The mini martians also like banana cars as well. If I could change something I would find better pictures where the shadows all matched better because I had trouble finding them.
I really liked this project because it gave me a chance to kind of do what I wanted. The biggest problem was getting the blending from feathers to the dog to look realistic, most of the time spent on this project was achieving that very thing. If I were to have changed anything I would have found a lower quality picture of a duck as the quality of the dog was lower, or you know vise versa. The shadows under the neck were hard, I had to lighten under the dogs chin to match the light on the ducks chest to make it appear more realistic. The animal you see above is a Dird, when you combine the words dog and bird it's what you get. I came up with idea because my dog hates birds and I thought it would be funny to combine the two. All things considered I would love to come up with more new species.
The biggest problem during this project was that my partner did not hold the phone still at all so it made it very hard to edit it at all. The shadows were messed up a lot and could use more work; I know there is a way to add an artificial shadow but I don't know how to fix it. I would love to change the setting and come up with something more creative.
